Yonder

I was introduced to hot yoga by my roommates my first year out of college. They invited me to come to a candlelit class with them one night and I was so reluctant to join. When I thought of yoga (especially hot yoga), I pictured a room full of people that did not look like me and was worried if I would feel out of place. But they twisted my arm hard enough and I went. 2 years later, I can still say that was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Being in an environment that is truly judgement free and allows for the deepest form of self exploration was this massive release that my soul was craving. The physical results of yoga are of course so fun but what keeps me coming back to my mat are the spiritual results. As a yoga teacher, I hope to create an inviting space where all people can experience the spiritual freedom that comes with this practice, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, etc. In my classes you’ll feel challenged and empowered, sweat out your day and maybe even have a dance party… or two!
