I started practicing yoga consistently after graduating from college. I had just come out of a very competitive music program where I was constantly chasing this goal of creating something artistically perfect by a certain performance deadline. The pressure to improve at a certain rate was, at times, overwhelming.

“While there are many beautiful shapes within the practice of asana, that’s exactly what it is: a practice.”

There is no deadline for my handstand practice and there is no humiliation in falling out of eagle pose! I was so relieved to find an art form that I could enjoy without the pressure to perform at a certain level. I invite you to come and share your journey with me; the destination is not as important.
