“When I was approached about completing teacher training, my first thought was “No way, I’m not ready. I want to be better at yoga before I do teacher training.” Ironically, there’s always a process and a path to be “better” at yoga. The Yonder team was persistent and encouraged me to come meet the team at a social. I was warned that the minute I met them, I would never say “no.” I went to the social with my reservations, but sure enough, after meeting the amazing Yonder crew, I knew there was no way I could turn back. The energy, enthusiasm, support and positivity that these people possessed was both intoxicating and contagious. Completing teacher training was hands-down the best choice I made to kick-off 2019. Not only did it create a new space for me to deepen my practice and my understanding of the “why” of yoga, but teacher training gave me a network of incredible human beings that I am fortunate enough to now call my friends. Teacher training helped me learn more about myself, my relationships, and my practice. If I had known just how powerful the three month experience would be, I wouldn’t have doubted it for a second. I cannot speak more highly of Yonder and their teacher training program. I’m grateful every day that they wouldn’t take no for answer and that I now can call myself part of this awesome tribe.”
“I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yonder Yoga in 2020. The first time I took class there, I knew this is where I wanted to do my training. All of the teachers and staff are so inspiring, and the sense of community is strong. Though I’ve been practicing for years, I wanted to learn more, evolve my practice, and perhaps teach my own classes. I gained so much during the course of my training. I was able to deepen my knowledge for the foundations of asana, yoga philosophy and history, proper alignment cues and sequence building. Selby and Darby are amazing teachers with big hearts and want everyone to do well! The access we were given to learn from the other teachers is invaluable. And the connections I made with my fellow trainees is something that I will appreciate for years to come. I am so grateful to Yonder Yoga for this opportunity to work on myself. This program gave me the opportunity to find my voice and greater sense of self trust and empowerment. “
“I completed my RYT 200 with Yonder earlier this year, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. The entire training, from our rockstar teacher and fearless leader to the trainee class, and from learning about anatomy to learning about both the physical and spiritual side of yoga, was a remarkable experience. Teacher training not only deepened my personal yoga practice, but it opened me up to an entirely new perspective. I started this journey with the goal of becoming a yoga teacher and ended it with so much more. I have a new appreciation for the meaning of yoga along with an amazing community that I get to share my love for yoga with. I highly recommend Yonder’s teacher training program if you are looking to take your practice and awareness of yoga to the next level.”
