A woman standing in front of a white wall.

As a dancer and cheerleader throughout childhood and college, movement has always been a part of my life. In high school, the running joke was that I spent more time in practice and rehearsals than I did at school in a day. Fast forward to mid-way through my time at Georgia Tech, I needed a hard reset taking time away from competition, workouts and practice to focus on what I wanted to do with my career and cherishing being a college student. I ended up taking a ‘dream job’ in Advertising at graduation which was fast-paced, high pressure and competitive. I found myself missing a good workout, the sweat and, of course, movement.

One 7am Monday morning, I stumbled into my first Yonder class and never looked back. Not only was it the workout I was craving, but I noticed after 60 minutes my always-running internal monologue had finally quieted for that short period of time. I left class feeling fulfilled, revived and rested (bizarre, I know!).

As my life continues to evolve (a wedding, two Labradors, world travel adventures and now a baby on the way), so does my yoga practice filling in the gaps where I need additional support. My goal as a teacher is to fill in those spots for you as well with movement, mindfulness and a great sweat. You can expect a class that will challenge you in the ways you need with fabulous tunes to support you along the way. Can’t wait to see you on the mat!
