I discovered yoga about 15 years ago, after completing my undergraduate degree. I had suffered from back pain since childhood that had only continued to worsen during college, and I found that yoga was the only way I was able to lessen the pain myself. I really got into a daily practice during the pandemic, and it was only then that I began to really reap the mental, spiritual, and emotional benefits of yoga.
For me, yoga provides a refuge from the constant chatter of the outside world. I look forward to coming to my mat and turning inward. Yoga is the only place where I can feel both challenged and comfortable simultaneously.
