I grew up in the small lake community of Alpine, AL. Following family tradition, I graduated high school and went straight to Auburn University. My degree and first job was in commercial Interior Design, but after five years, I decided it was time for something a little different. I took my experience working at an architecture firm and applied those skills to start my own endeavor, focusing on brand development for businesses and custom stationery for events. I now work full-time as the owner of hi note, a graphic design studio located in West Midtown.

The majority of my clients are first-time brides who are planning their wedding. As you can imagine, emotions run high and timelines are critical. Oftentimes it is a high-stress job, and I found myself needing an outlet for all that intense energy. I found a yoga studio within walking distance of my home and was instantly hooked. Maybe a year after I began my journey with yoga, I discovered I was pregnant and my practice helped me get through a healthy pregnancy and beautiful, natural birth. My postpartum recovery was amazingly easy thanks to yoga and my incredibly supportive and knowledgeable teachers. This fueled me to pursue my teaching certificate, and I am so excited to share my experience and joy for yoga with others.
