When I stumbled upon the practice of yoga in 2015, I was hooked. The body movement came naturally, and I immediately loved the physical challenge. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the synchronicity of the body and the breath created a sense of stillness and clarity that I don’t think I’d ever felt before. As I continued to show up on my mat, I felt more and more deeply connected to my own self. Fast forward to now – yoga is my safe space, my home, my lifestyle. I have learned lessons beyond my wildest dreams from the teachings of yoga, and I do my best to live my yoga, every day.
“I will meet where you are at, give you options, and encourage you to push the limits of what you think you’re capable of. “
My teaching style is playful and athletic. While I am a firm believer in the 8-limb yoga path, I believe the majority of people find strength and peace through movement – at least initially. So, I pack my classes full of flow, distill complex asanas in an approachable way and empower practitioners at all levels. My heavy focus on asana (posture practice) does not deter me from incorporating themes and deriving the other benefits of yoga during class. I will meet where you are at, give you options, and encourage you to push the limits of what you think you’re capable of. Prepare to sweat, feel confident and safe in your movements, and find the joy in non-attachment. And yes, you may even find yourself upside down.
