I began my yoga practice when I was about halfway through college at UGA. I was working toward my engineering degree which was incredibly stressful at times, and yoga gave me a space to quiet the worries in my mind and let go of the pressure I placed on myself. My favorite thing about practicing yoga is that there are no expectations — all you have to do is show up on your mat and meet yourself where you are today.
Yoga has had such amazing effects on my mental and physical health and has helped me to appreciate all that my body can do. As a teacher, I strive to help others understand and appreciate all the positive ways yoga can impact daily life. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels empowered and strong by moving and breathing together. Meet yourself where you are, and the progress will come.
