Teacher
My yoga journey began in high school as a 5’3 sprint freestyler who wanted to swim “longer”. The introduction to yoga definitely helped, but I didn’t grow four inches or increase my wingspan like I was hoping. Fast forward to college, I began working as a cycle instructor at my college gym. I was offered the opportunity to start teaching yoga with my minimal yoga knowledge and fell in love with it as my practice grew. Coming from such a concrete sport where I was so concerned with beating the clock, I loved that yoga was open-ended and that there was no finish line or time to beat. In my classes, I want to encourage others to make each posture their own and enjoy the process!
When I’m not doing yoga you can probably catch me at a brewery with my human-like dog sitting in my lap or moving my body in some other way. I love lifting, swimming, cycling, but also sitting on the couch watching Netflix or reality TV.
