My name is John Bryant, but everyone just calls me JB, and I’m originally from Asheville, NC.  I’ve been a professional trumpet player since I was in high school and have been fortunate to play music all around the world.  Since I was a child, music was my life.  In high school, I spent hours each day practicing, listening, and studying music at home.  At nights, I would drive downtown to go rehearse or perform in orchestras, rock bands, or jazz groups — usually 5 nights a week!  After college and grad school, I took a leap of faith and started a full-time music career based here in Atlanta.

Needless to say, there’s a lot of pressure when people pay their hard-earned money to buy a ticket to your performance.  You want to perform well and give those folks a show they’ll love and remember.  Imagine facing this anxiety 4 or 5 nights a week!  Every night, you’re wondering if you can live up to expectations, if you’re as good as the reviews said you were last week, if your colleagues that recommended you aren’t let down, and the feeling that your entire worth is wrapped up in how you play that day.  After years of this, I needed a release; SOMETHING had to change.  I couldn’t live with the stress and anxiety anymore. At the recommendation of my amazing wife, I joined her at a power vinyasa class.  After that first class, I knew this practice would be with me for the rest of my life.  After several years on my mat, tranquility and peace have replaced the anxiety and stress.

I offer the yogis and yoginis in my classes powerful flows, unique meditations, music from around the world in hopes that it inspires a little more peace and tranquility off the mat.  Hope to flow with you soon!
