Teacher

There weren’t many yoga studios, if any, in the area of Louisiana I grew up in. When I left my hometown and moved to Seattle in 2013, I was on a mission to try new things and find a new hobby. I took up sewing, ballet, and yoga. My mind was so set on ballet being my new hobby that I signed up for TWO ballet classes simultaneously. Neither of which I saw through until the end. Yoga was it. I knew after my very first class.

For me, yoga has been like a consistent, loyal, and supportive friend. One that accepts you for who you are, even when you don’t quite know who that is yet. One that holds space for you always. I’m forever grateful to all of my teachers throughout the years who have held that space for me. Especially the ones at Yonder. My goal as a yoga teacher is to do the same for my students. To provide the space to slow down, take a deep breath and just be.
